You know all of those inanities that George W spews on a daily basis? Maybe the reason behind them isn't that he is a moron- maybe it's Texas' fault.
We're driving around last night trying to find a spool of muted sage thread so I can hem some curtains, and we have this conversation:
S: So her tattoo must look like a Christmas wreath, right?
A: No, it's more oval than that.
S: It's more WHAT?
A: Oval?
S: Oh, I thought you said ooh-all, and I was concerned that there was some sort of new geographic shape I'd never heard of.
A: .......
A: .......
A: Some sort of geographic shape??
I am still snickering about it this morning.
Note to all: when attempting to make fun of your spouse for their pronunciation of a word- Oval, for example- make sure you don't misspeak in the process ;-)
I might as well go ahead and put it on the line...
Dallas Cowboys vs New England Patriots
Hey...Neon Deion and Mike Golic agree with me about the Boys. :)
Yep...Anji is out of town for an entire week for work. She's in the glamorous city of Las Vegas!
I'm here at home. Fortunately, there is a great weekend of sports to keep me occupied and not feel completely guilty.
I am planning on having the following games on this weekend.
Friday night:
Sometime after 2:15 - Justine Henin vs Venus Williams in the Women's Semi-Finals at the US Open
6:35 pm Nationals @ Braves
9:05 pm Indians @ Angels
I'll probably flip back and forth between the Braves game and the Rutgers/Navy game.
Saturday:
11:00 am Miami (FLA) @ Oklahoma
2:30 pm Oregon @ Michigan
4:45 pm South Carolina @ Georgia
6:00 pm TCU @ Texas
8:15 pm Virginia Tech @ LSU
Sunday:
12:00 pm New England @ New York Jets
3:15 pm Chicago @ San Diego
7:15 pm Giants @ Cowboys
Monday:
6:00 pm Baltimore @ Cincinnati
8:00 pm WWE Monday Night Raw
Yeehaw for sports!
I've received several emails asking where I've been. I'm here. I've been submerged in football and living like a bachelor, which leads me too...
CLEANING!
I hope to pop in later with a more substantial update.
Jason and I finally had our schedules match up and we put out a new episode of the RotoJunkie Fantasy Fix. Take a listen if you're so inclined by clicking below!
Can I just talk about how much I despise delivery windows?
I've been waiting all day for our dining room table and chairs and the easy chair for the living room. The delivery window was 11:00-3:00
At 2:50 I get a call from the company (who I am intentionally not using their name yet in case they make this better) who said their truck broke down.
I realize this is one of those things and I'm not really angry.
It's just frustrating waiting even longer for furniture I paid for over a MONTH ago.
Paige just cornered another lizard in the dining room. Stephen makes the comment, "oh, something must of hatched in here."
I'm unthrilled.
Yesterday, we did a few errands earlier in the day, but ultimately we just laid low at home.
In fact, we took 2 naps! Laziness personified.
I finally watched Peter Pan which happens to be Anji's favorite movie. It was really cute.
Today, I've been watching NFL. The Cowboys/Dolphins game is a the half right now.
Happy 6th Birthday to our fur children! :)
